Embark on a journey of change toward the life you’ve envisioned and the person you want to become.

Through clinical insight, practical tools, and a deeply human approach, this work supports you in taking meaningful steps toward a life that feels more aligned and sustainable.

It’s never too late to honour what matters most.

The Intentional Curiosity Collective was built on a single belief: that when women understand the systems they are living inside — family systems, hormonal transitions, workplace cultures, cultural narratives about aging — they can begin to respond to them differently.

This is the education I wish had existed when I was beginning.

This is why I do this.

How my journey began.

How my journey began.

IMPART Training — International Menopause Society (in progress)

Hello, I'm Dawn McKelvie Cyr — therapist, educator, and the founder of ICC.

I bring 35 years in education, 14 years as a therapist, and a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology to this work. I'm a Registered Canadian Counsellor (CCPA), currently completing advanced training with the International Menopause Society (IMPART), and the creator of Boundaries 101 and other psychoeducational resources, awarded 80 continuing education credits by the CCPA.

But the credentials only tell part of the story.

My work around boundaries didn't begin in theory. It began in the quiet, complicated dynamics of my own family — carrying roles I never asked for, saying yes when I meant no, staying silent to keep the peace, and confusing self-sacrifice with love.

It took time — and deep unlearning — to realize that love without boundaries isn't peace. It's self-abandonment dressed as loyalty. That realization didn't arrive all at once. It came in layers, slowly — the way most real change does.

Midlife has a way of bringing it to the surface. Especially when we finally recognize that the old ways of coping no longer fit.

And now I help others do the same. Through therapy, workshops, courses, and licensed resources — all grounded in the belief that insight is the beginning of change, and that small, intentional shifts are how meaningful change begins.

We Were Never Meant to do This Alone

While ICC was built with women at the centre, the people who love them — partners, sons, fathers, brothers — are part of this ecosystem too.

Boundaries, family patterns, emotional capacity, generational healing — these are not women's issues. They are human ones. The difference is that women have rarely had spaces designed specifically for them to explore these things with clinical depth, warmth, and lived understanding.

That's what ICC is. And the conversations that happen here have a way of rippling outward — into relationships, families, and the people who share life with the women who do this work.

These resources are open to anyone searching for healing and hope.

It’s never too late to honour what matters most.

So, whether you're just beginning or beginning again, this space was created for you—the seeker, the over-giver, the I never-have-enough-timer, the one wondering if change is even still possible. (It is)

Here, you’ll find tools to help you rediscover your voice, set nourishing boundaries, and create a life shaped by your own values — not just old roles or patterns. Through a collection of carefully crafted courses, guided journals, and reflective resources, we hope to support you on your return to yourself.

You don’t have to do it all at once. You just have to begin.

The door is open. You’re already on your way.

Small, intentional shifts are how meaningful change begins.
